How fast does my newsletter become licensable after I sign up?
Immediately. Once you complete the wizard (platform → content source → categorize → Stripe + KYC attestation), your articles are indexed and available to AI buyers via Opedd's licensing rail. The ownership-verification step is skippable during onboarding, but your content stays private (not directory-listed or sellable) until you verify - which you can do any time from the dashboard. Substack imports run on-demand; Beehiiv / Ghost / Custom API sources sync per their connector cadence.
When do I get paid?
Opedd processes payouts to your Stripe Connect account on a weekly cadence. Funds typically arrive in your bank account 2 business days after the payout is initiated. View live payout state in Settings → Stripe; click 'Open Stripe dashboard' for the full Express dashboard.
What's the platform fee?
20% of gross transactional revenue. The remaining 80% flows to your Stripe Connect account. Fee is fixed for the free tier; enterprise tier discussions are separate - reach us via the contact sales page.
Can I revoke a license I've already issued?
Yes. As a publisher, find the transaction in the Ledger view and revoke it there - revocation invalidates the buyer's access immediately, and partial refunds are issued automatically on the unused remainder. Enterprise access keys (ent_...) are managed by the buyer in the buyer portal at opedd.com/licenses, where they can be revealed or rotated (rotating invalidates the old key immediately).
How does Opedd handle GDPR / EU AI Act compliance?
Opedd ships CDSM Article 4(3) TDM reservation signaling on every publisher manifest, EU AI Act Article 53 attestation receipts on every enterprise license, and HMAC-signed JSON-LD compliance dossiers via /buyer-compliance-report. DPA available on request - contact us via the form below.
I'm a buyer - where's the API documentation?
API docs live at docs.opedd.com (separate subdomain). Note that since 31 July 2026, purchases require recorded acceptance of the Master Services Agreement at https://opedd.com/terms before your first purchase. For SDK questions, the canonical Python client is at github.com/Opedd/opedd-python; the MCP server is at github.com/Opedd/opedd-mcp.
